Terrance McSwain is a member of Chicago Fire Fighters IAFF Local 2, which supports Nation’s Bravest. Local 2 is aligned with the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Chicago. As a whole, the International Association of Fire Fighters has been a partner of MDA for 57 years, raising over $27 million for MDA nationwide in 2010 through MDA’s Fill the Boot campaign. The Chicago Fire Department itself raised over $94,000 last year. MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
Mr. Chicago was born and raised in Chi-Town, and has been a firefighter for 6 years. He enjoys singing on the side, performing at House of Blues, Excalibur, All State Arena, and other venues in Miami, New York and Mexico. He has sung prior to performances by Buster Rhymes, Daddy Yankee, Pit Bull, Big Punn, Two Live Crew and more. He has modeled professionally, and enjoys choreographing performances.
