Kevin Kuhn is a member of San Francisco Fire Fighters IAFF Local 798, which supports Nation’s Bravest. Local 798′s own San Francisco Firefighter’s Toy Program brings hope year long to children who are victims of fire, violence, crime and other life changing emergencies. The Program began more than 60 years ago in 1949 with firefighters repairing discarded toys to give as gifts to 15 poor children of the City. Today, it is the largest firefighter toy program in the United States. Active and retired firefighters, alongside their families and friends, donate time to collect and distribute toys during the Christmas season to make every child’s holiday a happy one. Each year, Local 798 distributes to more than 40,000 families in San Francisco.
Mr. San Francisco is a second-generation firefighter, born and raised in the “City by the Bay.” Being 6’4”, he enjoys playing basketball, volunteering regularly at multiple recreation centers. He shoots hoops with the children living in each community, acting as a mentor and role model.
