Photo shoot day has arrived for Garon Patrick Mosby. The 11-year veteran of the St. Louis Fire Department poses like a pro, with the Arch in the background and fellow firefighters giving him a really tough time on the sidelines.
The woman behind the camera is Katherine Kostreva. The New York based photographer is producing the calender, called “Nation’s Bravest, Firefighters Unite”. It will feature Garon and 11 other firefighters, from around the country, with proceeds going to the charity of the individual department’s choice. In St. Louis, the money will help the “Lifesaving Foundation”, purchase more EKG machines for the St. Louis Fire Department.
The possibility of saving even more people, is why Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson says he’s on board with participation in the calendar project. As for firefighter mosby. He knows he’ll never hear the end of this, but is willing to put up with it for a good cause. The calendar comes out in August and will be sold for $19.95.
